Kwame Kept His Promise to Students on 1st Day at Davis Elementary

Today, At-Large Council Democrat Kwame R. Brown fulfilled his promise to students at Davis Elementary by rewarding them with iPod Shuffles and iTunes gift cards. The students were recognized for meeting proficient and advanced standards on the DC-Comprehensive Assessment System (DC-CAS).


“Last year, I visited these students and promised them that if they worked hard, I would recognize them with a special gift,” said Councilmember Brown. “I kept my promise because too often the positive achievements of the District’s students go unnoticed.”

Dave Donaldson has been one of the most dedicated volunteers for Kwame’s re-election. He first started working as a volunteer to elect Mary Cheh two years ago and was quickly made Precinct Captain for the Mary Election Committee (2006).


Shortly after Councilwoman Cheh’s election, Dave got immediately involved in the Ward 3 Democratic Committee and soon was elected as an Area III Representative to the Ward 3 Executive Committee. He threw himself into the DC Democratic Party activities reaching out in all 8 Wards. He has volunteered to help numerous projects to advance the needs of DC children, public education, Metropolitan Police Department, DC for Statehood and others. (Read more)
